Dedicated to the memory of Dinos Aristidou

This is a tribute to Dinos Aristidou - deeply loved and forever missed by all who knew him.

Professionally, Dinos was a theatre maker, educator and playwright and most recently was delighted to be working as the Executive Director of ISTA (the International Schools Theatre Association). He will forever remain an unforgettable human being - someone determined to make the world a kinder and better place.

Dinos was endlessly creative and made a significant contribution to whatever he worked on. He had a positive impact on all those who crossed his path. His compassion, childlike curiosity and sense of humour also meant he formed close friendships wherever he went, and we know he leaves an enduring legacy in the lives of so many around the world. Dinos will always be remembered, loved and cherished by those of us he left behind and our lives are so much richer for having known and loved him.

Losing Dinos before his time has been heartbreaking for us all. But hearing what he meant to so many of you has provided great comfort. We created this page so you can share your memories, photos and videos of the many happy times you shared with Dinos.

Please keep coming back and add memories as you reflect on happy times you've spent with our beautiful Dinos.

Thoughts

I hadn't seen Dinos in a while, but I remember him full of fun and interest in people. I have only just heard this sad news and I am shocked and sorry to hear of it. My condolences to his partner and family.

Dinos you were a very special person and I still can't quite reconcile your passing. I loved working with you.Your contribution to the Grief Encounters project on Zoom was fantastic. I so enjoyed planning the creative writing sessions .Your love and passion for the work you did was palpable. I felt honoured to be involved in Hear Us Out. I had never done anything like that before and you instlled confidence in me . Over and above all the professional connections we became friends. I will treasure our coffees on the seafront .We were brought up in the same area of London and there was something really familiar about your Greek and my Jewish upbringing. I often joked with you about wanting to marry you !! I feel privileged to have known you.Xx

When I signed off our last Zoom together, never did I think it would be our final goodbye. Three weeks later I am still finding your passing hard to comprehend and bear. Your impact on me personally and professionally has been more profound than I had realised. Not only were you a dear, dear friend, but a mentor and guide. Thank you for your friendship over the last 10 years and for your kindness and presence during our almost daily conversations over the last 15 months - I adored working and laughing with you and I will miss it, and you, so very much.
